This evening in Miami, Novak Djokovic heads into his semi final match in the Miami Open hoping to find himself en route to Sunday’s final and his third tournament win of 2015. Should he meet Andy Murray in Sunday’s final, fans are expecting another epic, gruelling match between these two great competitors, who have both won the tournament within the last two years. A great final in Miami this weekend will be the perfect set up for the Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters starting next Saturday the 11th April at the Monte-Carlo Country Club here in Monaco. Having been Champion in 2013 ending Nadal’s formidable run of 8 consecutive wins, Djokovic lost in the semi finals last year to Federer. Can he reclaim the title this year or will the “King of Clay”, Nadal be back? Or will the very much on form Federer swoop to claim his first Monte-Carlo Masters title having lost to Wawrinka in last years final?
The Monte-Carlo Country Club has undergone an extensive “refit” over the last year and this spring looks perfect, ready to welcome the world’s best tennis players and the international crowds who flock here to enjoy excellent sport in the early spring sunshine. With the first qualifying matches taking place next Saturday, the finals will then take place the following weekend with the singles final to begin at 14:30 on Sunday 19th April.
