Congratulations to Novak Djokovic who has won the 2015 Monte-Carlo Rolex Masters in Monaco today. Djokovic came through in three sets to beat Tomas Berdych 7-5 4-6 6-3 on the Monte-Carlo clay. His win extends his unbeaten run in 2015 to 17 matches and he becomes the first player to have won the three opening Masters events of the season. Despite having a 2-18 record against the top seed, Berdych proved a stern test for Djokovic and twice broke the Serb’s serve in the opening set. Djokovic came through to win it 7-5 in overcast conditions. The rain came with the score at 2-2 in the second set. After an interruption of an hour, Berdych made the better start and levelled the match at one set all. Djokovic raced to a 4-0 lead in the decider, but Berdych pulled it back, forcing Djokovic to work hard for the victory which he secured in two hours and 43 minutes. Djokovic, who is a resident of Monaco, now heads to Roland Garros in Paris next month with his eye on the Grand Slam.
