The inaugural Antibes Celebrates Yachting festival takes place on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 April in Antibes’ Port Vauban, the centre of the superyacht universe. A plethora of useful information will be available for all industry professionals with numerous seminars taking place throughout the two day event. Key industry speakers will be holding seminars on the state of the industry and on many different niche subjects including tackling piracy onboard and onboard cyber defences. Discussions also include protecting the seabed and how various new rules and regulations affect crew. All yacht crew are very much encouraged to attend and take part in this first celebration of yachting and there will be the opportunity to focus on and discuss crew safety, fitness, health insurance etc.
Bringing together the entire industry will be enormous fun for all and ultimately ensures yacht charter guests receive the very best service in the safest possible environment and most importantly onboard the most wonderful yachts available, a selection of which will be on display in the MYBA (Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association) pop-up show. Mixed in with yacht viewings and seminars, are plenty of tasting sessions arranged by local suppliers. Visitors can look forward to sampling the finest Pata Negra hams and the wines produced by the monks from L’Abbaye de Lérins (the monastery on Cannes islands). Industry professionals are also welcome to enjoy the Pétanque competition which will take place throughout the show – with the winners awards being presented at 17h on Saturday. The show is open from 9.30h-18.30h each day with a Invitation Only Crew BBQ on the Friday evening.
