The 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival takes place in Cannes from 8-13 September. Formerly known as the Festival de la Plaisance de Cannes, it is the largest in-water boat show in Europe with nearly 600 yachts on show to the estimated 50,000 visitors that will attend. The Cannes Yachting Festival kicks off the Mediterranean boat show season and is followed by the Monaco Yacht Show and the Genoa Yacht Show that take place later in the month. Being the first show of the season, Cannes is chosen by many shipyards as the event at which to launch new models, and this year 173 new yachts will make their debuts at the Cannes Yachting Festival!
Cannes Yachting Festival brings together over 400 exhibitors from all over the globe, including shipyards, brokers and suppliers. The event takes place in both ports of Cannes, the Vieux Port is home to most of the new launches including 181 yachts over 20m in length and Port Canto at the other end of Cannes’ famous Croisette is where the charter and brokerage show takes place, featuring mostly yachts over 30m in length. Cannes Yachting Festival really does have something for everyone, from 6m RIBs to 60m superyachts!
