One of the best ways to experience a yacht charter destination is immersing yourself into its gastronomic pleasures – regional food, good wine, harvest festivals and local markets. On the French Riviera, discovering the food markets ashore highlights a Provençal ritual and the link between farm, orchard, ocean and table. With a fabulous climate that sustains agriculture, to experience any French town or city at its core it’s worth being there on market day.
Great photograph. But you need to elaborate more. I’m a huge fan of Marche Forville–simply because it is close to our rented apartment in Theoule. We look forward to our visits to the marche each year–but the marche at Antibes is great too–especially the market in St. Trop. I love my adventures on the Cote d’Azur. This year we had a twist. My Father-In-Law, Dany Lartigue, the artist, passed away while we were visiting. Our vacation turned into a funeral a la Tropezienne–but also a wonderful celebration of his life, which I’ve started to write about in my posts about our trip. I like the fact you can write about the luxe style on the Riviera!!
