The French Riviera yacht charter experience is widely regarded as the definitive expression of Mediterranean luxury. Stretching along France’s glittering Côte d’Azur, the French Riviera remains the most sought-after destination in the world for a luxury yacht holiday. Year after year, discerning travellers return for a French Riviera yacht charter, drawn by its flawless climate, spectacular coastal scenery and legendary resort towns that define timeless glamour.

A French Riviera yacht charter offers an unrivalled combination of sophistication and variety. From the iconic harbour of Saint-Tropez to the cinematic elegance of Cannes and the unmistakable prestige of Monaco, each destination delivers its own distinct character while remaining seamlessly connected by sea. Cruising this coastline aboard a private yacht allows guests to wake each morning in a new world of beach clubs, Michelin-starred restaurants, designer boutiques and exclusive waterfront events.

The appeal of a French Riviera yacht charter lies not only in its glamorous ports but also in its natural beauty. Hidden coves, turquoise bays and pine-fringed beaches offer tranquil anchorages just moments from the vibrant social scene. Whether enjoying watersports off the coast, lunching at a world-famous beach club or dining under the stars on deck, a French Riviera yacht charter balances excitement with serenity in effortless style.

It is often said that the original is the best — and nowhere is this more true than on a French Riviera yacht charter. As one of the first regions to define the modern luxury yachting lifestyle, the Côte d’Azur continues to set the standard. Even the most seasoned charterer finds fresh inspiration here each summer, as the Riviera evolves while retaining its iconic charm.

From glamorous marinas filled with superyachts to quiet Mediterranean anchorages bathed in golden sunset light, the French Riviera yacht charter remains the crown jewel of European yachting. For those seeking sunshine, prestige and unforgettable coastal cruising, the French Riviera is — and always will be — the ultimate destination to enjoy time aboard a truly fabulous yacht.

The French Riviera yacht charter season runs from May through to the end of September, marking the most vibrant and glamorous period along the Côte d’Azur. A French Riviera yacht charter traditionally begins in style with the world-renowned Cannes Film Festival in mid-May and continues through a summer of high-profile events, culminating in the prestigious Monaco Yacht Show in late September. These iconic occasions define the rhythm of the French Riviera yacht charter calendar, attracting superyachts and international guests from around the world.

One of the key reasons a French Riviera yacht charter remains so popular is the exceptional Mediterranean climate. Long, sun-drenched days and temperatures typically ranging from the mid-twenties to low thirties Celsius create perfect conditions for life on deck. While occasional thunderstorms may appear, they rarely linger, and even the famous Mistral winds are usually short-lived. As the season progresses, the Mediterranean Sea gradually warms, reaching its most inviting temperatures in late summer, making swimming, snorkelling and water sports an integral part of any French Riviera yacht charter experience.

July and August represent the peak of the French Riviera yacht charter season. During these months, destinations such as Cannes, Monaco and Saint-Tropez are at their liveliest, with marinas filled to capacity and an electric atmosphere ashore. Berths are highly sought after and must be secured well in advance, meaning many yachts choose to anchor just outside the ports or off the region’s famous beaches. For many guests, this is part of the allure of a French Riviera yacht charter — enjoying sunset cocktails at anchor while the coastline glows in the evening light.

Ashore, the summer buzz is unmistakable. Restaurants are fully booked, beach clubs are in full swing and the roads are busy with visitors eager to experience the Riviera’s legendary lifestyle. Yet even at its busiest, a French Riviera yacht charter offers a sense of freedom and exclusivity that cannot be matched by land-based travel. Whether anchored in a secluded bay or moored in the heart of a glamorous port, the French Riviera yacht charter season delivers an unrivalled combination of climate, culture and coastal prestige.

If you are planning a French Riviera yacht charter during the peak months of July and August, forward planning is essential. Demand for a French Riviera yacht charter is at its highest during these summer weeks, meaning the finest yachts and the most desirable marina berths are secured well in advance. By booking early, you not only enjoy the widest selection of yachts, but your yacht charter broker can also reserve prime berths in sought-after ports and arrange priority reservations at the Riviera’s most exclusive restaurants and beach clubs — from Saint-Tropez to Monaco.

During high season, iconic marinas such as Port of Saint-Tropez and Cannes operate at full capacity, and last-minute berths can be extremely difficult to obtain. A well-organised French Riviera yacht charter ensures seamless access to the ports, beach clubs and fine dining experiences that define the Côte d’Azur lifestyle. Advance preparation transforms a busy summer calendar into a smooth and indulgent charter experience.

If your schedule allows flexibility, however, the very best time for a French Riviera yacht charter is arguably during the shoulder months of June and September. These off-peak periods offer the same glorious Mediterranean climate — long sunny days and warm seas — but with noticeably fewer crowds. Ports are quieter, making it far easier to secure a prime berth position in Saint-Tropez or Cannes, and restaurants are less pressured while still maintaining the vibrant Riviera atmosphere.

A French Riviera yacht charter in June or September provides the perfect balance between energy and tranquillity. Beach clubs remain lively, the sea is ideal for swimming and water sports, and the overall pace feels more relaxed and refined. As an added advantage, many luxury yachts offer considerably lower charter rates during these months compared to the peak July and August season, delivering exceptional value without compromising on experience.

Whether you choose the height of summer or the elegance of the shoulder season, a French Riviera yacht charter rewards careful planning. By thinking ahead and selecting the right dates, you can enjoy the very best of the Côte d’Azur — prime berths, exclusive reservations and unforgettable cruising — all in effortless Mediterranean style.

At Your Service, making your dreams reality…….

The Crew of M/Y LEOPARD
The Crew of M/Y LEOPARD

A luxury yacht charter is widely regarded as the ultimate luxury holiday experience, combining privacy, freedom and five-star comfort on the open sea. Yet while attention often focuses on the yacht itself — its sleek design, expansive decks and array of water toys — one of the most important and unique aspects of a luxury yacht charter is the exceptional standard of service delivered by the professional crew on board.

When you embark on a luxury yacht charter, you are not simply hiring a yacht; you are engaging a highly trained team dedicated to creating a seamless and unforgettable experience. From the Captain navigating the most scenic anchorages to the chef preparing bespoke gourmet cuisine, every detail of your luxury yacht charter is carefully orchestrated to meet your individual preferences.

After much discussion with your charter broker, and plenty of excited debate with family and friends, you have selected the perfect luxury yacht charter vessel. Conversations may have centred on the yacht’s style, the number of jet skis on board or the glamorous destinations you will be cruising to. However, no luxury yacht charter truly comes to life without the right crew. The crew are the heartbeat of your charter experience, anticipating your needs before you voice them and ensuring that each day unfolds effortlessly.

Prior to your departure, you will complete a detailed preference sheet outlining everything from dietary requirements and favourite wines to preferred activities and daily routines. This allows the crew to tailor your luxury yacht charter precisely to your tastes. Whether that means sunrise yoga on deck, a children’s treasure hunt on a secluded beach, or a formal candlelit dinner under the stars, the crew work discreetly behind the scenes to deliver it flawlessly.

The level of attentiveness on a luxury yacht charter often exceeds that of even the finest hotels. Cabins are prepared twice daily, cocktails appear just as the sun begins to set, and water sports equipment is ready the moment you feel adventurous. The crew’s professionalism, discretion and warm hospitality ensure that your luxury yacht charter feels both indulgent and effortlessly relaxed.

Ultimately, while the yacht itself may draw initial admiration, it is the calibre of the crew that transforms a luxury yacht charter into a holiday of a lifetime. Their expertise, passion and dedication are what elevate your journey from simply exceptional to truly extraordinary.

Service Onboard SEA SHELL
Service Onboard SEA SHELL Yacht

A seamless luxury yacht charter begins long before you step on board. Your charter broker will discuss your plans in detail and coordinate the perfect itinerary directly with the yacht’s Captain, ensuring that every aspect of your luxury yacht charter is thoughtfully curated. From preferred cruising destinations to dining arrangements and special celebrations, careful planning between broker, Captain and crew lays the foundations for an exceptional experience.

As a luxury yacht charter client, you will typically “meet” your Captain in advance via email, video call or telephone. This early introduction allows you to build rapport, discuss expectations and share personal preferences well before embarkation day. By the time you arrive on board for your luxury yacht charter, the most important groundwork has already been completed — your itinerary refined, your preferences noted and your crew fully prepared. All that remains is to relax and enjoy an unforgettable holiday.

The welcome on board is one of the most memorable moments of any luxury yacht charter. As you step onto the aft deck, the entire crew will be lined up to greet you with warm smiles and impeccable presentation. The Chief Steward or Stewardess will offer a chilled glass of champagne, the yacht’s signature cocktail or your favourite holiday drink, setting the tone for the days ahead. This elegant reception reflects the high level of service that defines a true luxury yacht charter.

The Captain will personally introduce you and your guests to the crew, each member playing a vital role in delivering a flawless charter experience — from the talented chef and attentive interior team to the deck crew ensuring your comfort and safety at sea. Within moments, you will feel completely at ease, as though your luxury yacht charter is not just a holiday, but a private floating home designed exclusively for you.

From meticulous pre-charter planning to the warm welcome on deck, every detail of a luxury yacht charter is designed to provide confidence, comfort and complete peace of mind. It is this combination of professionalism, personal connection and attentive hospitality that transforms a luxury yacht charter into a truly extraordinary experience.

Motor Yacht O'LION
O’LION Yacht

As your luxury yacht charter begins, the steward or stewardess and their team will personally escort you and your guests to your cabins, ensuring that every detail outlined on your preference sheet has been carefully prepared. From your favourite champagne chilling on ice to specific bedding arrangements and personalised amenities, the crew will have anticipated your needs before you even step inside. This attention to detail is a defining feature of a luxury yacht charter, where service is tailored entirely to you.

Once settled, you may choose to freshen up in your private suite or head straight to the sun deck to relax as your luxury yacht charter prepares to depart. While some guests prefer to unpack themselves, the crew will be delighted to take care of it for you. Simply mention any particular requests, and everything will be arranged discreetly and efficiently. Yacht crew operating at this level instinctively understand where each item belongs. They are professionally trained in handling fine fabrics, couture garments and delicate accessories, ensuring your belongings are treated with the utmost care and complete discretion — another hallmark of a world-class luxury yacht charter experience.

As the yacht prepares to slip its moorings and head out to sea, there is typically a short Captain’s safety briefing before guests gather on deck. While not the most glamorous part of a luxury yacht charter, this introduction is both essential and reassuring. Whether you are a seasoned charter guest or embarking on your very first luxury yacht charter, a confident and personable Captain will quickly outline all onboard safety procedures, emergency protocols and general guidelines for life at sea.

During this briefing, key crew members will also be reintroduced, ensuring you know exactly who to approach for dining requests, water sports, itinerary adjustments or any special arrangements. Open communication between guests and crew is fundamental to a successful luxury yacht charter, and the Captain will always remain available to assist in any way possible throughout your voyage.

From perfectly prepared cabins to professional safety procedures, every aspect of a luxury yacht charter is designed to combine indulgence with peace of mind. With the formalities complete, you are free to fully unwind — champagne in hand — as your luxury yacht charter adventure truly begins.

Service on HAPPY ME
HAPPY ME Yacht

Once the formalities are complete, your luxury yacht charter truly begins. All that’s left is to settle into the rhythm of life at sea and enjoy your first cruise — perhaps heading to a secluded anchorage where crystal-clear water laps gently against the hull. Here, your private chef will prepare a delicious grilled fish lunch, served al fresco as part of your bespoke luxury yacht charter experience. Fresh ingredients, perfectly chilled rosé and panoramic Mediterranean views combine to create the kind of effortless indulgence that defines a luxury yacht charter.

As you relax with a book on deck, the crew’s service becomes almost invisible. One of the great hallmarks of a world-class luxury yacht charter is intuitive attentiveness: your Mojito is refreshed before you realise you’re ready for another, the empty glass disappears discreetly, and the fruit bowl seems to replenish itself without interruption to your peace. The crew remain ever-present yet unobtrusive, allowing you to feel completely at ease while every detail is quietly managed behind the scenes.

For families, a luxury yacht charter offers endless excitement. As soon as the anchor is dropped, the deck crew will be delighted to open the yacht’s “toy box.” Many modern luxury yacht charter vessels feature impressive water toys — from seabobs and paddleboards to inflatable waterslides cascading from the flybridge into the sea. While one crew member sets up the slide, another prepares the tender and towable toys, ready to whisk enthusiastic guests — young and young-at-heart alike — around the bay.

Safety is always paramount on a luxury yacht charter. A dedicated crew member will remain on the swim platform or close by to assist with flippers, snorkels and life jackets, ensuring everyone feels confident in the water. Guests are gently reminded that yachts can swing at anchor, so awareness of the swim platform’s position is important. With professional oversight and constant vigilance, you can relax knowing that your luxury yacht charter balances fun with the highest safety standards.

After an invigorating swim in the salty Mediterranean and plenty of action on the water toys, appetites will certainly have grown. Crew will be on hand to assist with the swim platform shower and provide warm, fresh towels before you make your way back to the sundeck for lunch. From secluded anchorages to seamless service and family-friendly adventure, every moment on a luxury yacht charter is carefully designed to deliver relaxation, enjoyment and unforgettable memories at sea.

A highlight of any luxury yacht charter is the unforgettable dining experience on board. As a perfect family lunch table is elegantly set on the bridge deck, your steward or stewardess is ready to serve pale, perfectly chilled rosé selected to complement a delicate fresh fish starter. One of the greatest pleasures of a luxury yacht charter is the cuisine itself — restaurant-quality dishes of the highest standard, crafted entirely around your personal preferences. Before departure, you select your favourite ingredients and flavours, and your private chef transforms them into beautifully presented creations prepared exclusively for you.

On a luxury yacht charter, dining becomes a private, alfresco restaurant experience where every detail is tailored to your tastes. There are no other tables, no waiting staff juggling multiple guests — just flawless service and exceptional food delivered with precision and discretion. Whether enjoying Mediterranean seafood, vibrant seasonal salads or indulgent desserts, each course reflects the bespoke nature of your luxury yacht charter.

After lunch, as your luxury yacht charter cruises gently toward its next destination, the afternoon unfolds at your pace. You may choose a quiet siesta in your beautifully appointed cabin or perhaps indulge in a spa treatment on board. Many larger yachts now feature fully equipped wellness areas with professional spa therapists, offering massages, facials and holistic treatments as part of the luxury yacht charter experience. On smaller yachts, crew members are often trained in massage techniques, manicures and other treatments, which can be enjoyed in the privacy of your cabin or on deck with the sea breeze drifting past.

Before entering port for the evening, your Captain may choose to anchor once more in a secluded bay for a final swim of the day — a revitalising ritual that perfectly complements the relaxed rhythm of a luxury yacht charter. After a refreshing dip in the sea, the chef will present a vibrant platter of freshly cut fruit, wonderfully cooling after the warmth of the sun. Meanwhile, your steward or stewardess can prepare colourful afternoon cocktails — with or without alcohol — for the entire family.

As you stand on the aft deck of your private luxury yacht charter, watching the sun dip toward the horizon with fresh mango, pineapple or coconut in hand — perhaps accompanied by a perfectly blended Piña Colada — it becomes clear that this is more than a holiday. It is the effortless indulgence, personalised service and freedom of a luxury yacht charter that transforms an ordinary day into an extraordinary memory at sea.

As your luxury yacht charter draws toward its first evening, the yacht glides gracefully into port, ready for a seamless transition from sun-drenched relaxation to refined nighttime elegance. While guests retreat to their cabins to prepare for the evening ahead, the crew discreetly transform the yacht behind the scenes. Fresh towels are replenished, cushions carefully plumped, water toys stowed away and every surface washed down to remove traces of salt spray. Stainless steel gleams, decks are perfectly arranged and the yacht is prepared to welcome guests for pre-dinner drinks in impeccable style — a signature touch of a world-class luxury yacht charter.

As the day gives way to evening, the crew change into formal uniforms, ready to greet you with polished professionalism. In the cool saloon, champagne is poured and delicate canapés are served, setting the tone for an elegant night on board. One of the defining pleasures of a luxury yacht charter is the ability to shift effortlessly from relaxed beach life to sophisticated fine dining within the same private setting.

The aft deck, once alive with sunshine and swimming, is now transformed into a romantic restaurant beneath the stars. Tables are beautifully dressed, candles flicker gently in the evening breeze and full silver service ensures every detail is executed flawlessly. Dinner on a luxury yacht charter rivals the finest Michelin-starred establishments, yet the experience remains entirely private — your own exclusive restaurant at sea. Each course is crafted to perfection, tailored to your tastes and served with intuitive, unobtrusive attention.

After dinner, the chef may join you for a conversation, delighted to share culinary insights and stories from the galley. This personal interaction is another unique aspect of a luxury yacht charter — direct access to exceptional talent, without formality or barriers.

Throughout the evening, a dedicated crew member remains quietly available to assist with anything you may desire. Whether it’s a late-night scotch after an evening stroll ashore, a calming camomile tea at 3am, or fresh toast and coffee for early risers at dawn, service on a luxury yacht charter operates around the clock. Crew take great pride in anticipating your needs at any hour, ensuring that comfort, discretion and hospitality never pause.

From polished evening service to 24-hour attentiveness, the refined atmosphere of a luxury yacht charter transforms every night into an occasion — intimate, elegant and entirely your own.

10 Days in the South of France, Sardinia and Corsica onboard a Luxury Yacht Charter

Corsica - View of Bonifacio on the clifftops of southern Corsica

The South of France, Corsica and Sardinia are widely regarded as three of the most prestigious and desirable destinations in the Mediterranean — if not the world. Each offers its own unique blend of glamour, natural beauty and refined lifestyle. So why limit yourself to just one this summer? On a luxury yacht charter, it is entirely possible to experience the very best of the French Riviera, Corsica and Sardinia within a perfectly curated ten-day itinerary.

A luxury yacht charter provides the ultimate freedom to explore multiple iconic destinations without the constraints of airports, ferries or hotel check-ins. Begin your journey along the glittering coastline of the French Riviera, cruising between legendary ports such as Saint-Tropez and Cannes, where beach clubs, designer boutiques and Michelin-starred restaurants define effortless Mediterranean elegance. From there, your luxury yacht charter can cross open waters toward the dramatic cliffs and turquoise bays of Corsica, an island renowned for its wild beauty, historic citadels and secluded anchorages accessible only by sea.

Continuing south, a luxury yacht charter seamlessly connects you to the glamour of Costa Smeralda in Sardinia, where Porto Cervo’s superyacht marina and crystalline waters offer a sophisticated contrast to Corsica’s rugged landscapes. Within just ten days, you can swim in protected marine reserves, dine in world-famous waterfront restaurants, explore medieval hilltop towns and relax in hidden coves — all from the comfort and privacy of your own floating five-star retreat.

Unlike a land-based holiday, a luxury yacht charter allows you to wake each morning in a new destination while maintaining complete continuity of service, comfort and exclusivity. Your professional crew handles every detail, from gourmet dining on deck to arranging restaurant reservations ashore, ensuring your journey between France and Italy is effortless and indulgent.

A ten-day luxury yacht charter through the South of France, Corsica and Sardinia is not simply a holiday — it is an immersive Mediterranean experience. Three iconic regions, one seamless voyage, and the unparalleled freedom to explore them all in uncompromising style.

Day 1 – St Tropez to Porquerolles

On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed aboard your charter yacht by the Captain and crew and offered a chilled glass of champagne — the perfect introduction to your Mediterranean adventure. Once you have settled into your luxurious surroundings, your charter yacht will slip its moorings and depart the iconic Port of Saint-Tropez, cruising along the glittering coastline toward one of the Riviera’s most celebrated beach destinations.

Your first stop on this unforgettable charter yacht itinerary is the world-famous Club 55, located on the legendary Pampelonne Beach. Synonymous with understated glamour and Riviera chic, Club 55 has long attracted international clientele seeking relaxed elegance by the sea. Arriving by charter yacht adds to the exclusivity of the experience, as you are transported by tender directly to the restaurant’s private pontoon. Reservations are typically secured weeks in advance — a testament to its enduring popularity and iconic status on the French Riviera yacht charter circuit. A leisurely lunch here, featuring fresh Mediterranean cuisine and chilled rosé, sets the tone for the journey ahead.

After lunch, your charter yacht continues west toward the picturesque island of Île de Porquerolles, situated a few hours south of Saint-Tropez. Porquerolles is the largest of the islands that form the Îles d’Hyères and stretches over four miles in width. Surrounded by a protected marine reserve, the island is widely regarded as one of the finest swimming destinations in the south of France — a true highlight of any charter yacht itinerary.

Anchoring off Porquerolles offers crystalline turquoise waters, white sandy beaches and lush pine forests that create a tranquil contrast to the glamour of Saint-Tropez. From your charter yacht, you can dive directly into the clear sea, explore hidden coves by paddleboard or simply relax on deck as the sun begins to set. The marine reserve ensures exceptional water quality and abundant marine life, making it a superb location for snorkelling.

Your first night at anchor aboard your charter yacht will be spent here, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Porquerolles. There are several charming restaurants ashore should you wish to dine on land, or you may prefer to enjoy a beautifully prepared meal onboard, served under the stars. Whether dining ashore or on deck, this opening chapter perfectly encapsulates the freedom, elegance and exclusivity that define a luxury charter yacht experience on the French Riviera.

Day 2 – Porquerolles to Calvi

After a delicious continental breakfast on board, your yacht charter sets sail for Calvi, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful towns in Corsica. This five-hour cruise is a highlight of any Corsica yacht charter, offering uninterrupted views of dramatic coastline, open Mediterranean horizons and the possibility of encountering dolphins playing in the yacht’s wake. Relaxing on deck beneath clear blue skies, with the warmth of the sun and a gentle sea breeze, perfectly captures the effortless pleasure that defines a luxury yacht charter experience.

Although the journey takes several hours, time seems to pass quickly when enjoying the comfort and freedom of a yacht charter. The changing shades of the sea, from deep sapphire to brilliant turquoise, provide a constantly shifting backdrop as Corsica gradually rises into view. You will know you have arrived in Calvi when the town appears dramatically perched on a rocky promontory, its citadel seemingly carved from the stone and rising directly out of the sea — an unforgettable sight when approached by yacht charter.

After docking in Calvi’s picturesque marina, you can step ashore to explore a destination steeped in history and character. The old town, with its narrow cobbled streets and centuries-old buildings, offers a charming contrast to the open seascapes of your yacht charter voyage. Dominating the skyline is the impressive citadel, dating from the thirteenth century, though the site itself was fortified as early as 500 BC. Wandering through its ancient walls provides panoramic views across the bay, where your yacht charter vessel rests in the harbour below.

Calvi blends historic grandeur with a relaxed Riviera atmosphere, making it a memorable stop on any Corsica yacht charter itinerary. As evening falls, the town comes alive with music and conversation spilling into the streets. You may wish to experience authentic Corsican live music in one of the local bars, or enjoy dinner and entertainment at Chez Tao, a chic piano bar known for its lively ambience and excellent cuisine. Arriving from your yacht charter to enjoy fine food, music and harbour views creates the perfect conclusion to a day defined by scenic cruising, historic discovery and Mediterranean elegance.

Day 3 – Calvi to Girolata

After a relaxing morning on board, your yacht charter continues gently southwards along Corsica’s spectacular western coastline toward the secluded bay of Girolata. This remote inlet, framed by rugged cliffs and untouched Mediterranean vegetation, is one of the hidden highlights of a Corsica yacht charter itinerary. Accessible primarily by sea, Girolata perfectly captures the sense of discovery and exclusivity that defines a luxury yacht charter experience.

Dropping anchor in the bay reveals crystalline, turquoise waters ideal for swimming and snorkelling. The clarity of the sea makes Girolata a favourite stop on any yacht charter, with vibrant marine life visible beneath the surface. For those seeking more adventure, the calm conditions also provide an excellent setting for water skiing or exploring the coastline by tender. A yacht charter offers the freedom to tailor the day entirely to your preferences — from peaceful relaxation on deck to exhilarating water sports against a dramatic natural backdrop.

Surrounded by steep mountains and deep ravines, Girolata feels wonderfully detached from the outside world. Everything here must be brought in by boat, as there is no direct road access from the rest of Corsica. This isolation gives the village its truly unique atmosphere and makes arriving by yacht charter particularly special. As afternoon light softens across the bay, your yacht charter will moor for the evening at the head of the inlet, where the small harbour and pastel-toned buildings create an intimate and authentic setting.

Girolata is renowned for its exceptional seafood, making it a culinary highlight of any Corsica yacht charter. Freshly caught fish and shellfish are central to the local cuisine, and langoustines in particular are a regional speciality. For dinner, you may wish to try Le Bel Ombra, celebrated for its seafood gastronomic delights and relaxed waterfront ambience. Arriving from your yacht charter as the sun sets over the bay enhances the experience, with golden light reflecting off the water and cliffs surrounding the village.

From the tranquil anchorage and exhilarating water sports to the exceptional seafood and remote charm, Girolata offers a distinctive chapter in your Corsica yacht charter journey. It is a destination where natural beauty, maritime tradition and understated authenticity combine — best appreciated from the deck of a yacht charter exploring one of the Mediterranean’s most dramatic coastlines.

Day 4 – Girolata to Ajaccio

Your yacht departs the bay heading south, hugging Corsica’s spectacular western coastline where dramatic cliffs plunge into deep sapphire water. Cruising by yacht along this stretch is an experience defined by scale and colour — sculpted rock formations, hidden coves and sweeping panoramas unfolding with every nautical mile. The morning’s destination is the breathtaking Gulf of Porto, widely regarded as one of the most scenic areas on the Corsican coast. Recognised for its extraordinary natural beauty, the gulf offers the perfect setting for a full programme of water sports from your yacht, whether swimming in crystalline waters, launching seabobs or enjoying paddleboarding against a backdrop of towering red cliffs.

For those who prefer to explore ashore, the old fishing village of Porto provides a charming alternative. Arriving by yacht gives a unique vantage point of this small harbour town, where pastel façades and a historic Genoese tower frame the waterfront. The surrounding landscape — rugged, untamed and intensely photogenic — makes this region one of the most distinctive cruising grounds in the Mediterranean. Whether viewed from the deck of your yacht or explored on foot, the Gulf of Porto offers a rare combination of natural drama and quiet authenticity.

Later in the day, your yacht continues south to explore the striking coastline around Capo Rosso, famous for its imposing red granite cliffs rising sharply from the sea. The late afternoon light intensifies the colours of the rock, creating a vivid contrast with the turquoise water below. Cruising this stretch by yacht allows uninterrupted appreciation of Corsica’s raw beauty, with secluded inlets and panoramic sea views in every direction.

As evening approaches, your yacht makes its way to Ajaccio, the island’s capital and the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte. Entering Ajaccio by yacht reveals a lively harbour lined with palm trees and elegant waterfront buildings. The town’s vibrant atmosphere contrasts with the tranquil anchorages of earlier in the day, yet Ajaccio retains a picturesque Riviera charm, blending history, culture and Mediterranean warmth.

After berthing for the night, you may wish to dine at Le 20123, a unique restaurant designed to resemble a traditional Corsican hill village. With its internal fountain, cobbled ‘streets’ and even a Vespa scooter parked as part of the décor, the setting is as memorable as the cuisine. Superb regional dishes and a welcoming ambience provide the perfect conclusion to a day defined by coastal grandeur and refined yachting. From the dramatic cliffs of the Gulf of Porto to the lively elegance of Ajaccio, this leg of your journey showcases Corsica at its most captivating — best experienced, of course, from the deck of your yacht.

Day 5 – Ajaccio to Propriano

After a restful night on board your charter yacht, the morning begins with a leisurely cruise along Corsica’s west coast toward the charming old town of Propriano. A Corsica charter yacht itinerary is defined by dramatic contrasts — rugged mountains, lush green hills and sweeping white beaches — and this stretch of coastline perfectly captures that natural harmony. Propriano sits gracefully at the head of a wide gulf, surrounded by rolling hills that rise gently toward the mountains behind, while a necklace of white sandy beaches curves around the bay, creating one of the island’s most picturesque settings. Approaching by charter yacht offers a privileged perspective, with panoramic views unfolding from the deck as you glide across calm Mediterranean waters.

En route, your charter yacht will pause at Porto Pollo, set along a golden stretch of beach backed by softly contoured, wooded hills. Once a traditional fishing village, Porto Pollo has evolved into a relaxed seaside resort while retaining its authentic Corsican charm. Anchoring here during your charter yacht journey provides an opportunity to swim in clear, shallow waters or simply relax on deck and enjoy the peaceful coastal surroundings. The sheltered bay is ideal for paddleboarding and watersports, making it a delightful mid-morning stop before continuing onward.

As the afternoon progresses, your charter yacht resumes its course toward Propriano. Entering the gulf by sea highlights why this destination is so admired throughout Corsica: the light reflecting off pale sand, the deep blue water of the bay and the lush hills encircling the town create a scene of effortless Mediterranean beauty. Mooring in Propriano allows you to step ashore and explore a town that balances authentic Corsican character with a refined coastal atmosphere.

Propriano is particularly renowned for its waterfront dining, with several excellent restaurants lining the bay. Arriving by charter yacht adds to the experience, as you tender ashore for dinner overlooking the harbour at sunset. Fresh seafood, regional wines and warm Corsican hospitality combine to create a memorable evening that perfectly complements your charter yacht adventure. From the golden sands of Porto Pollo to the scenic gulf of Propriano, this stage of your journey showcases the relaxed elegance and natural splendour that make a Corsica charter yacht experience so rewarding.

Day 6 – Propriano to Bonifacio

Your luxury yacht charter begins the day anchored off the tranquil bay of Campomoro, a peaceful stretch of coastline where tall palm trees and golden sands create an atmosphere reminiscent of a North African retreat. For guests enjoying a Corsica luxury yacht charter, Campomoro offers a serene and exclusive anchorage, far removed from crowded mainland resorts. The calm, crystalline waters invite an early morning swim, paddleboard session or simply a relaxed breakfast on deck, surrounded by unspoilt natural beauty. This quiet bay perfectly captures the freedom and privacy that define a Mediterranean luxury yacht charter.

As the afternoon unfolds, your luxury yacht charter continues south toward one of Corsica’s most spectacular destinations. The cruise itself is a highlight, passing some of the island’s most dramatic and rugged coastline. Towering limestone cliffs, hidden coves and sculpted rock formations rise sharply from deep blue water, creating a cinematic backdrop best appreciated from the deck of a private yacht. This stretch of coastline is widely regarded as one of the most striking in Corsica, reinforcing why a luxury yacht charter remains the ultimate way to explore the island.

Your arrival into Bonifacio is nothing short of breathtaking. Frequently described as one of the Mediterranean’s most dramatic and memorable natural harbours, Bonifacio is carved into soaring white limestone cliffs that dominate the horizon long before you enter the port. Approaching by sea during a luxury yacht charter is an unforgettable experience, as the narrow fjord-like entrance opens suddenly to reveal a sheltered marina lined with elegant yachts and waterfront restaurants.

Bonifacio is renowned not only for its extraordinary setting but also for its culinary traditions, particularly its celebrated fish soup, a rich and flavourful speciality of the region. After mooring, you may choose to explore the historic citadel, perched high above the harbour. The commanding position offers panoramic views across the Strait of Bonifacio toward Sardinia — a perspective that perfectly encapsulates the grandeur of this luxury yacht charter destination.

As evening falls, dining ashore adds a refined touch to your luxury yacht charter experience. The elegant restaurant at Hôtel Résidence du Centre Nautique is highly recommended, specialising in beautifully prepared seafood and pasta dishes served in a sophisticated waterfront setting. Arriving by tender from your yacht and returning beneath softly illuminated cliffs completes a day defined by natural beauty, maritime heritage and understated elegance — the very essence of a Corsica luxury yacht charter.

Day 7 – Bonifacio to Porto Vecchio

This morning on your yacht charter, you will enjoy a slow and relaxing cruise past the southernmost tip of Corsica, where dramatic limestone cliffs meet the open Mediterranean. A Corsica yacht charter offers some of the most striking coastal scenery in Europe, and this stretch of coastline is no exception. As you glide through the Strait of Bonifacio, you will witness a steady procession of sailing yachts and superyachts navigating between Corsica and Sardinia — a reminder that this is one of the most prestigious yacht charter routes in the Mediterranean.

Your yacht charter continues past the breathtaking Lavezzi Islands and the exclusive Cavallo. These granite islands, sculpted by wind and sea, create a spectacular backdrop of turquoise shallows and smooth rock formations. For guests on a yacht charter, this area offers exceptional swimming opportunities, with crystal-clear waters and secluded anchorages accessible only by boat. The sense of privacy and untouched beauty perfectly captures the essence of a Mediterranean yacht charter experience.

Cruising onward, your yacht charter arrives at Porto-Vecchio, a historic harbour originally founded as a Roman galley port and dramatically carved into the surrounding rock. Approaching Porto-Vecchio by sea is a highlight of any Corsica yacht charter, as the marina gradually reveals itself within a natural fjord-like inlet. Once moored, you will have the afternoon to explore this charming town at leisure. The old town’s narrow streets, lively cafés and panoramic viewpoints create a relaxed yet refined atmosphere, while the surrounding countryside — revered throughout Corsica — offers rolling hills, cork forests and vineyards that add depth to your yacht charter journey.

Porto-Vecchio provides the perfect setting for a tranquil afternoon during your yacht charter, whether you choose to wander the historic centre, relax on deck with views across the harbour, or tender ashore to explore the nearby beaches. As evening falls, dining by the sea is highly recommended. Tamaricciu, located directly on a stunning stretch of white sand, specialises in beautifully prepared seafood and offers an elegant yet relaxed beachfront setting. Arriving from your yacht charter as the sun sets over the water adds a memorable finishing touch to the day.

From the granite islands of Lavezzi and Cavallo to the historic harbour of Porto-Vecchio, this stage of your yacht charter blends natural beauty, maritime heritage and refined coastal living — a perfect representation of why Corsica remains one of the Mediterranean’s most sought-after yacht charter destinations.

This idyllic stop is a highlight of any yacht charter itinerary, offering crystalline turquoise water and sheltered bays ideal for swimming and snorkelling. An Island Escape

Yachts at anchor on Porquerolles island, France

Within a short cruising distance from Toulon or Saint-Tropez, Île de Porquerolles is the largest and most accessible of the three islands that form the celebrated Îles d’Hyères. Alongside Île de Port-Cros and Île du Levant, Île de Porquerollesoffers an unspoiled Mediterranean escape just moments from the glamour of the French Riviera.

For those exploring the coastline by yacht, Île de Porquerolles is an essential stop — a sanctuary of turquoise waters, protected landscapes and understated elegance. Whether arriving for a day anchorage or an overnight stay, the island reveals a rare balance of exclusivity and authenticity.

Discovering Île de Porquerolles

Part of a protected national park, Île de Porquerolles remains blissfully preserved. Cars are largely prohibited, and visitors explore the island by bicycle or on foot, enhancing its tranquil atmosphere. Pine forests, vineyards and olive groves stretch inland, while the coastline alternates between powder-soft beaches and dramatic rocky inlets.

The island’s main village, centred around a small harbour, welcomes yachts during the season. From here, whitewashed buildings, shaded cafés and artisan boutiques create a relaxed Provençal ambience — far removed from the high-energy pace of mainland Riviera hotspots.

Beaches of Île de Porquerolles

The beaches of Île de Porquerolles are among the finest in the Mediterranean. Plage Notre Dame, often cited as one of Europe’s most beautiful beaches, offers crystal-clear water framed by pine trees. Plage d’Argent provides calm, shallow waters ideal for swimming and paddleboarding, while secluded coves around the island reward those arriving by tender.

Anchoring off Île de Porquerolles allows direct access to translucent waters perfect for snorkelling and diving. The seabed, protected within the Port-Cros National Park zone, is rich in marine life and vibrant underwater scenery.

Yacht Charter & Île de Porquerolles

For guests enjoying a luxury yacht charter along the French Riviera, Île de Porquerolles delivers a striking contrast to destinations such as Cannes or Nice. Here, the emphasis shifts from high-profile glamour to natural beauty and discreet refinement.

A typical Riviera itinerary might include departure from Saint-Tropez, cruising west toward the Îles d’Hyères, before anchoring overnight off Île de Porquerolles. Guests can enjoy sunset cocktails on deck, morning swims in glassy waters, and leisurely island exploration before continuing along the coast.

The proximity of Île de Porquerolles to both Toulon and Saint-Tropez makes it easily incorporated into short charters or extended Mediterranean voyages.

Therefore, a selection of fortresses and castles were constructed at the peak of many of the perched villages to protect the region. These strategic fortifications offer an insight into the French Riviera’s history and culture and provide some of most awe-inspiring panoramic views along the dramatic coastline. Rent a luxury supercar and explore the best defensive fortresses in the region whilst driving one of the world’s finest coastal routes in style. Ferrari always seems to be the most popular option in the region.

Constructed in 1387 by the Countess of Villeneuve, it stood for many years as a medieval fortress. However, after being dismantled and transformed into a glass factory during the French Revolution in 1789, the castle was bought and restored by American artist and sculptor Henry Clews and his wife Marie. Henry focused on the architecture of the castle and his wife designed the impressive gardens. The castle is now open to the public under the management of The Henry Clews art foundation and Henry’s collection of art is on display to visitors.

The next destination is Villeneuve-Loubet. Take your supercar rental for a magnificent coastal drive through the prestigious cities of Cannes and Antibes until you reach Villeneuve-Loubet, a historical, traditional town sitting on the hillside with stunning panoramic views of the Mediterranean. Surrounded by immense gardens, the 33m watchtower offers a picturesque view of dramatic coastline.

Chateau-Musée Grimaldi – Cagnes-Sur-Mer
